How to introduce myself: It’s a common and must question when you are facing an interview. Generally you need to give Self-introduction, when you introduce yourself in-friont of an interviewer.  If someone asks you for a self-introduction, they are asking you to summarise the most relevant information about yourself and your life.  A self-introduction should include important information that is relevant to the context you’re introducing yourself in.  In a job interview, your focus will be on your work achievements, however, at a party or common meetup, you’re more likely to talk about your hobbies, what you do, and where you live.

The situation will determine the type of introduction you use. Don’t prepare a common introduction for all types of situation. You must correlate your achievement or academic qualification as per the requirement for the a particular post. Instead, think about the different situations where you commonly introduce yourself and try to come up with a unique introduction concerning each situation.  

Include Relevant Information

In order to create a better impression we start sharing a lot of things about ourselves. It’s easy to go off-topic and overshare about areas of your life that are to some extent not appropriate for the specific situation you’re in. So make sure that you stay on topic when introducing yourself share information related to the situation or requirement.

If you’re in a job interview, it’s important to share only relevant information that the interviewer would need to hear.  You can talk about yourself and your interests, but be sure to also include your achievements, qualifications, and other relevant information about yourself that makes you suitable for the job position.

So, be precise and stick to the point.

Use Correct Grammar

It is very important to use a proper structure and grammatically correct, especially when you are facing an interview. Because the interviewer is not interested to know about your personal life. He is interested to understand how you present all the things. Whether you have good knowledge or grammar or not. For Example: If you’re talking about yourself about the things you do regularly,  you must use the present simple tense.  If you’re talking about your experiences then you must use the present perfect tense.  If you’re talking about the duration you’ve been doing something then use the present perfect or present perfect continuous with FOR or SINCE.
